What happens when your photo gets in flickr blog
I got a pretty good gift from flickr this Valentine’s Day – one of my published photos got in flickr blog. This was a first time for me and I found it interesting on how did it reflect on statistics so I thought that I might share that.
The blog entry was the first one for roughly about a day. In this time I got loads of new favourites and some comments. Also nearby images got some extra attention as well. Anyway – I won’t bore you with my text, I’ll just show some statistics from 14th of February (which is ‘Yesterday’ in statistics) and 15th of February (which is ‘Today’ in statistics).
Only other thing I would say is that the view counts aren’t that impressive. Sometimes on bigger publishing batches I get roughly the same amount of views. The thing that is greater is the favourite/view and comment/view ratio, because many people will favourite or comment on the photo if it’s in the flickr blog. Don’t know why is that, but that’s what it is. On regular days I don’t get as many favourites and comments.
